Facilities and Services

The University Bookstore, located at the corner of Lincoln and Weinbach Avenues, carries all required textbooks for summer sessions. For your convenience, there is also a wide selection of school supplies and general reference books.

Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Student Fitness Center and Carson Center Complex is available for use by all students, faculty and staff with appropriate University ID. Visitors may purchase a one-day pass for $3 to use the fitness center when accompanied by a UE student or faculty or staff member. The facilities include two double gymnasiums and one single gymnasium, four racquetball/handball courts, a free-weight room, an aerobics room, a conditioning room featuring Kaiser resistance equipment and cardiovascular equipment, an indoor track, an outdoor track, a swimming pool and eight lighted tennis courts. Exercise equipment is available for check-out by facility users , with a valid UE ID without charge.

The University of Evansville Libraries provides an array of information services and resources which underwrite a curricular and research programs of the University. Services range from traditional library collections and electronic full text databases to individualized reference assistance and library instruction. Information on most library holdings is available through the online catalog known as ACE, accessible on campus as well as from off campus.   University Libraries' collections include more than 270,000 bound volumes of books and periodicals, access to approximately 13,000 scholarly journals, 470,000 microform units, and access to an array of online databases. Collections are supplemented by an active interlibrary loan service through which the resources of other libraries are made available to students and faculty. Circulation policies for students permit a renewable three-week loan for books.

Professional librarians are ready to assist students with research needs during most open hours. Specialized services and resources include the Music Listening Library and the University Archives.

The Office of Student Life, located in McCurdy Alumni Memorial Union, provide a variety of professional services to assist summer session students, including:

Parking permits are required for on-campus parking. Students may purchase parking permits at the Office of Safety and Security in the General Services building between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only.
